Ask and you shall receive

So I guess it takes a little encouraging but finally we have our blog on our website. Check it out at: www.zacharydoll.com. It is the "AdventureZ" link on the top. To explain: I wanted it to be "A to Z Adventures" because of our names but Zach said it was too long, so that is why we got the AdventureZ with a Z. ENJOY!

A new life

Much like my last post, it has been a while since I have posted. In the last 2 months we got married, I started my new job and Zach got a job in his field...kinda. Right now we are in the process of moving our blog to our website (www.zacharydoll.com) but in the mean time I am going to make a conscious effort to blog again.
Among other things we have done in the last few months we got a nook. I LOVE it and have found myself reading more and more like I used to. That being said I am going to start doing book reviews. I have signed up for booksneeze.com and hopefully will be getting books soon.
Hope all is well with all of you!

Recap

Wow...so it has been awhile, my apologies! Is there anyone still out there reading? At any rate since my last post things have been a little crazy. Here is a recap.
* I went to Chicago for National FCCLA July 2-10th
* Spent a week in Montana with my family until the 17th
* Went to my first Three Forks Rodeo since I graduated from high school.
* Saw Zach for 13 hrs (6 of it sleeping) for the first 27 days of July (I do NOT recommend this)
* Zach went to Oregon and Washington to visit family and go to his cousin's wedding.
* I started and finished the pew decorations
* My mom rocked the dress and it is now done!!!!
* I got a promotion at work :-)
* I made jewelry for members of the wedding party
* Went to my friend Carmen's wedding
* I forgot to update my blog

While I am sure there are many more things that happened in the last month and a half, I can't think of them. The next time I post I will more than likely be a DOLL! :-)

Rolodexing at a Wedding

Anytime I am left by myself to be creative things get scary. I get ideas about how we could do this, or I could make that. Honestly, I am starting to wonder when I am going to go it all. Luckily I have several friends/family/soon to be friends who are always willing to help with these crazy ideas. On the same token all of these people are very creative witch leads to more "Oh this would be cute" moments and thus more projects.

My current project dilemma is figuring out what we are going to do for the address book. Rather than have a guest book that is used to collect dust we decided to do a guest book similar to a yearbook that people can write in as well as an address book to collect a bunch of addresses that we can use. I was being my super creative self yesterday and decided that I could make one. I got all the stuff and was ready to tell Zach my awesome idea. Well he woke up and the voice of reason kicked it and he vetoed the "Cutesy" address book. So the search is on for something that we can use for this purpose. One latest idea is to have a Rolodex...but that is just an idea.

The Shower

So I had every intention of posting these pictures shortly after my last post but life happened. At any rate here are some of the pictures from my AMAZING shower:

All the gifts from my wonderful bridesmaids...It is a bedroom theme, and includes an ice cream maker...hhmmmm

The Wedding dress of toilet paper. Nancy tried to convience me to take it all home...I saved the good rolls.

The bridesmaids that were at the shower, it was a ton of fun and we for sure made some great memories.

Great weekend!

This past week I had a long weekend because I worked a 40 hour shift. During the last week I got so much done with the help of some amazing people. And to make it even better, I got to see my MOM! As far as wedding stuff here is what happened:

Tuesday:
- Drove out to Bismarck, spent the day running around Bismarck with my Matron of Honor.
- Came back to her house and finished an online class. While I was in class Jess and the kids went to T-ball practice. I slaved over a hot stove ;) and made Spaghetti and they didn't even come home on time! After super Jess and one of my bridesmaids, Amber, helped me address the invites that Zach had stuffed (best surprise ever). Well because I had a gazillion and one things on my mind I grabbed all the envelopes but left the invites. After getting all 250 of them address we headed to bed.

Wednesday
- Went to Bible study with Jess and Amber. It was a good time but I had to defend the importance of after school programs...so that was interesting.
- We went back to Jess's house and I again made an amazing lunch (baked mac and cheese). Later in the afternoon a few more friends came over and we fiddled around with a few random craft projects for the wedding.
Then....
MY MOM ARRIVED! The poor lady had "carted" a yipping, whining dog all the way from MT to 50 miles away, I approved that as her good dead for the month. We had fleshcigla (sp?) for supper and headed out to Nancy's.

Thursday
- My mom and I headed in to town for some fun shopping and errand running. We had a slight detour at Char's house to work on the card box (still in progress). But had a great day in Bismarck...despite the fact that I kinda ripped the front bumper off my car (LONG STORY...lets just say Zach is a stud and is dad rocks too). We didn't get out to Nancy's till 10:30pm...so it was a very productive day. We even found the fabric for Zach and I's wedding quilt :-)

Friday
- Another busy day. We worked on some wedding stuff in the morning and then got ready for my baptism. That's right, I was baptized, had my first communion and was confirmed into the Catholic faith in about 30 min. (I took the speed track). After the ceremony we headed home by way of the church we are getting married in. I didn't take any pictures, but you can kinda see it here.
- Once we got home, we got into our pajamas and prepared for the BEST bridal shower EVER! (More to com later). Let's just say it was amazing, sleepover themed and involved whipped cream and chocolate sauce.
- After the party died down, we finished the rest of the invites. Zach had stuffed them while we were partying down stairs...and who says guys don't help with weddings?!

Saturday
- Another busy day (seeing a theme here).
- We mailed our invites :-) (another funny story). Headed to Bismarck to exchange a bible cover Amber had got me for something bigger and then off to Carrie's baby shower. Another great family gathering.
- After the shower we headed home, mom worked on the "dress" (the pattern made in gingham to make sure it fits) and I worked on wedding stuff.
Sunday
- We came back to reality :( I had to work at 2:30pm and my mom needed to get back home so we went our separate ways and headed back to reality.

The wedding is only 67 days away...and that is crazy!

The invite saga

The new invites have arrive and they look great! That is the good news. The bad news is we are a few weeks behind schedule (the schedule I arbitrarily made up in my mind). I am hoping this weekend we can get everything sealed and sent before I have to go back to work on Sunday.

Next week my mom is coming to ND for a little wedding time/bonding time. I am pumped! We have a whole host of things we need to do but I have a feeling we will get them all done and then some. On the list; wedding favors, flower girl buckets, finish the flowers (got them almost done last weekend), a few other small projects, the shower and my baptism/1st communion/confirmation. It should be a busy few days but I am pumped!

In other news, Zach earns major gold stars from me today! I came home from work today (the last day of the week) to find all of the laundry washed, dried AND folded! HE EVEN WASHED THE SHEETS!!!! How amazing right?! What a great way to start the weekend is all I have to say.
